Tarkiln Bayou

Today after I got up we went to Tarkiln Bayou Park. It is about 15 minutes from the house. The trail is all concrete or a wood walk way. At first we let Luke walk, but then he wouldn't walk anymore. He kept saying "No!" Of course, he didn't want to get in the stroller either, but once he did he was fine. Had he not got in the stroller we would still be at Tarklin Bayou State Park.

You can see the bottoms of the trees were black from a fire.

Joey thought it was really cool to learn about forest fires and prescribed burns.

Kev and Joey, because Luke is to cool to sit up there with them.

Luke enjoying a stroll with his blanket.

Here is an endangered Pitcher Plant.

There were several of them. Tarkiln Bayou is known for Pitcher plants.
