Tomorrow we are taking the boys to Mobile to see Sesame Street Live. They know that we have a surprise for them, but don't know what. Joey thinks it is a toy or a boat or a book. Yeah he has been trying to guess and not doing very well. Joey will love this even though he tells us that Sesame Street is for babies (Rett told him this). When Sesame Street is on tv he is glues and seems to learn something new every time he watches it. Now Luke loves Sesame Street, but he only likes to watch Big Bird (he calls him Bird!), Elmo (or Melmo as Luke says) and Cookie Monster (Cookie). He will love it. He talks often about Melmo and Bird. I think both boys will be so happy to go.
The other surprise Joey has just all of the sudden started sing his Alphabet. Now I have tried to teach him this for a long time and he has taken no interest in it. All of the sudden he can just sing it. I thought he learned it at school, but he tells me that they have not sang it at all. He says he learned it from Sesame Street. He also is starting to get really good at making letters. I swear this happened over night. He is super excited to start drawing letters at school.
Luke's vocabulary is really growing also. He said this morning after we changed his diaper "Bad diaper poop!" This afternoon he was saying "Mom's baby!" and "Lub Momma!" When I went to go to bed this morning he said "Night night baby!" When you give him something he says "Thank you, welcome!" I got him an Elmo t-shirt this evening at Kohl's and he told me "Melmo cool, cool!" If he sees a picture of a baby in the house it doesn't matter if it is Luke or Joey or Sarah, he says "Oh baby Joe!" That is funny since all pictures of babies at house are Luke to Joey. If Joey askes for something like a toy or a drink or a snack, Luke loves to get it for him. He will get it and run to Joey saying "Here Joe! Here Joe! Here Joe!"

Your boys are soooooooooo adorable! But, of course, you know that!
That is so sweet that Luke calls Elmo "Melmo"! Taye called him the same thing until recently!
We are hoping the storm moves or loses all it's strength so you can go to Destin. I often think of Thomas in heaven looking down at his family and grinning ear to ear at the exciting fun you all have! That big, sweet, Turner grin!
Love you all!

A teacher once told me that it doesn't matter if your kid can sing the ABC's...what matters is that they know what they are singing. It seems perfect to me that Joey learned the song and is so interested in the letters too! Perfect!
We were at the Temple/UConn game when the hurricane hit us this weekend. Boy were we preparing for the worst....and it turned out to be just some rain. Hope the same thing happens for you!
