2. We went to the dentist today. The suction set up they tell him is Mr. Thristy. He assisted while I was getting my teeth clean he placed Mr. Thristy in my mouth. When we left he said "I think I want to be a Dentist for a few days when I am older."
3. "I am 5 years old now. Me, Rett, Maria and Pedro had a pretended it was my birthday. So that means I am 5 years old now."
4. "Did you know that cats make my daddy sneeze? He needs to try to not sneeze around them and I know how. He needs to talk and talk and talk and that way he won't sneeze. Then I could have a cat. I never ever sneeze around cats."
5. "When I grow up I want to be Batman, because he is super cool!"
6. "Is cheese health food?"
7. "How come I never see the ham on a pig? Do I have a ham part?"

9. I was talking to Luke and I told him that I loved him so much and I couldn't change a thing about him. Joey said "I could change things about him." I know I shouldn't have ask, but I asking what. "I'd name him Julius (this is a boy at the babysitter's house), because Julius gives me hugs all the time and Luke doesn't."

Me and Dr. Jones

Well I will be seeing Dr. Jones on Thursday. We will see what he can do for me this time around. So my schedule is crazy this week. Monday and Tuesday night I work. Wednesday morning after I get off work both Joey and I go to the dentist and then a playdate. I will sleep after all this. Thursday morning I go see the infamous Dr. Jones and then I will take Joey to a playdate to make an art project for Father's Day. Friday I work. Saturday, I want to go to Foley, Alabama for Balloon Festival. Sunday is Father's Day.
We are going back to the circus this year. Joey has talked and talked about the circus and begged to go back. This year we will take Luke. That is in two weeks.

Sunday at the Beach

We headed to the beach today. They were having their annual sand sculpting contest. There were some that were really cool. I think my favorite was the frog.

Then we didn't like all the crowd so we headed down the beach were there are fewer people. We swam some. Luke and I played a lot in the sand. Luke likes to draw in the sand and build things and break it. We think Joey can swim, but aren't a hundred percent sure. He had a life jacket on today, because the waves were rough. He got anywhere he wanted very easily.
On a completely unrelated note. I will be calling Dr. Jones tomorrow, because of my shoulder. Over the last two weeks it has progressively gotten worse with the pain. I know that it isn't going to get better so I might as well call and see him again. I don't know what he will do. I am back to taking Tylenol Arthritis 3 times a day and Ultram at least once and a lot of times twice a day.

Fun in the Sun

So I took the boys across the street to the park this morning to meet MOMS Club. It is nice to have kids that the boys can play with. It is really nice that I don't have to drive when we go there. I am glad that they like going to that park. I mean I didn't even put this on the schedule another mom did. They love that it is open and huge and there is a bike path and that it is shaded and that there is a fence sort of. I am glad that such a great group is using the park, this is what the park is designed for.

We came home, I got lunch for the boys. Joey got to pick today, he wanted chicken noodle soup and grapes. I fix both very well. In fact, it is one of my specialities. Both boys went down for a nap and slept for a long time.

After nap time, Joey wanted to go outside to play. It was hot and so I decided to drive the boys down to Palafox Pier. This water thing is where the Bayfront Auditorium use to be. They played there for about 45 minutes or so. They had a great time. Luke was most impressed with all the pigeons, but he kept saying "Ducks!" I can't tell you how many he chased and Joey would run and scare them off.

Preschool

I said I'd never send Joey to preschool yet I am. While Joey was in speech that is one of the things that the speech therapist and teachers at the school kept telling me might help. They thought if he was around other kids his speech might improve. Our pediatrician also mentioned that she thought his speech might improve with interaction with other kids. Then I had to sit down and weigh the benefits. I finally decided if I could get him in a really good Pre-K then I'd send him. In Florida there are tons of free pre-k programs. Most of them are at churches or daycares. The better programs fill up first. I knew Joey would love it, but I knew I'd miss him. Then I thought it would give me some time with just Luke and that will be nice.

Now I have wanted to send Joey to VBS for a long while, but our church doesn't offer anything like that. I was happy to sign him up at St. Paul's. I think he'll really enjoy it and it will give him a week to sort of see what school will be like.

Luke is just exploding with speech. Everyday he says something new. The other day he was finished eating dinner and so he ran to the bathroom to get his bath. We weren't ready for that yet, so he banged on the door yelling "Bath!" Then he ran to his daddy and said "Come, my bath!" Last night he came up to me and smiled and said "DinDin" for dinner, so I had to go get cooking.

Signing up for School

We went to get all the paperwork filled out for Joey's school. We got to the office, I was told that I needed a utility bill, my driver's licence, and his birth certificate. So I got the utility bill and his birth certificate together and headed up to the office. Of course, a few days ago Luke got a hold of my purse and threw a bunch of stuff out. I thought I had it all, but didn't get my driver's licence so I had to go home and find it. Then we headed back and got Joey all signed up. Then we dropped the appropriate paperwork off at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

That is the link to Joey's preschool for those of you that might be interested in looking at it. He is also going to go to Vacation Bible School there. Since we are Catholic, they don't have Vacation Bible School at our church. Monica ask us if we would like to sign Joey up for the Vacation Bible School and I did.
Then we headed to Chik-fila for lunch. The boys ate great. We got in the car and it was no time and Joey was asleep. Luke was tired, but couldn't go to sleep he didn't have his blanket.

Sunday

Yesterday a friend of mine from work called and invited us to her son's graduation party today at the beach. We of course decided we would go. It was wonderful. Soon after we got there a little girl named Jasmine showed up. Jasmine and Joey soon because good friends, in fact, Joey said "Oh, I haven't seen her in so long." Jasmine is just visiting her grandparents for the summer. Luke had a good time, he even tried to play volleyball with everyone. Then all the kids got to play in the shower for cleaning off.
Maria had enough food to feed an army, so she sent us home with lots of good stuff. I won't have to cook tonight.
