Hello from Charlotte

We made it to Charlotte. We have been having so much fun. Sunday night the air conditioner in our room went out, so we all were hot. Yesterday morning we switched rooms and nothing seemed to work the way I had planned. We did go to Freedom Park and had a super great time there watching the ducks and geese. Luke loves the ducks and geese. We also walked downtown and the boys were impressed by the big buildings. Then after we picked Kevin up we went to Ikea.
Today has been a rather fun day. We went to Discovery Place today. It was pretty neat. We got there when the doors opened and we stayed for a few hours, when we left a lot of people were coming in. Then we went to McDonald's to get some lunch and take it to Freedom park. Yeah we ate lunch and watched the ducks. The geese were clear across the lake. After lunch we headed into the Nature Museum. Luke loved this place so much. Joey enjoyed it also, but Luke really seemed to love it. I thought Joey liked Discovery Place better, but when I ask him he told me that he loved them both. Now Luke is napping. I am not sure what we will do tonight when we pick Kev up.

The bags are packed

Saturday morning we are leaving. Because of the 4th, we weren't sure we could make it to Charlotte in one day, so we will leave. We are hoping to get to the other side of Atlanta. Sunday we will get to Charlotte and Monday Kev will start his class. The boys are excited. I hope they have lots of fun. I work tonight and tomorrow night. So I hopefully can get some sleep in the car.

Weird thought from my boys

First we will talking about Luke:
1.) Yesterday, I ask him if he was going to miss his Grandpa and he said yeah. Then I ask him if he would miss Patty and he said no. I thought he missed understood so I ask again. He ran around with her all week. Once again he told me no. I ask him why and he told me "She fights me!" Apparently yesterday morning she made him get his diaper changed. After Joey told me the whole story. Luke then said "I don't like people that fight me like that!"
2.) Before Christmas, we went to Sacred Heart Hospital to see Santa Claus. Tonight we drove by Sacred Heart and Luke said "Where Santa Claus?" I told him it was so hot that he could be here right now. He said that his house.
3.) He was playing with a watch today, he said "Here is my tattoo!"
4.) He talks about going to the Gulf side when we say the beach.

Now we will discuss Joey
1.) He is all into numbers right now, so he wants to count everything or give a number to everything. We leave for Charlotte on Saturday, he says it will take 300 years to get there.
2.) He loves the word "delicate" so he has been using it often and correctly. ie "I have 2 delicate Blue Angel models, that Luke shouldn't touch!"
3.) He is excited about vacation, he kind of understands what that is. He keeps telling Luke, "It is really cool we will stay in a hotel for like 100 years."
4.) We have been doing simple addition with him and he is really good at it. I tried subtraction with him today. I said Joey what is 2-1, his answer was 1, but then he said "I was thinking it might be 300, but I didn't know how."

We last left you

The boys continued having tons of fun on Thursday. They took the boat out on Thursday. It is my understanding that they were trying to catch fish, but no one caught a single thing. The boys told me that they had a blast and couldn't wait to go fishing again. Grandpa bought the boys new fishing rods. Joey was super excited, because he got a big fishing rod instead of a baby one.
Friday when I got off of work, I came home and tried to sleep. Luke kept telling me to get up. He wanted me to go fishing with him. So I agreed to fishing. It had been years since I had been fishing. So we went out I ended up catching some very small fish, but they still count a redfish, catfish and sea trout. No one else catch anything, but in the morning before we went out Grandpa and Patty took the boat out and Patty caught some fish. After fishing we went to Peg Leg Pete's for lunch and at that point I was so awake it would do me no good at all to leave. So I went swimming at the pool. Then Kev and I left. I came home slept for a little while. Then we headed back out there with clothes for the boys. They spent the night at the beach with Grandpa. They ended up going to Flounder's for dinner. From the phone conversation everyone had a blast.
Since we were boyless, Kev and I went to Crab Trap for dinner. I got the most amazing fish I had ever had in my life. After dinner we went to The Melting Pot for dessert. It was great.
This morning, the boys are up and well rested and ready to fish.

Grandpa Turner is here

Last night Grandpa Turner got into town.  This morning we took Grandpa Turner and Patty to the Naval Air Museum and then this evening to AJ's in Destin for dinner and then a Dolphin/Sunset Cruise.

While everyone else was on the other side of the boat looking at Dolphin, I was holding my baby.  This is why he tells everyone "I am Momma's Baby!"
