Leaving first thing in the morning

We are packed and ready to go. We will be leaving first thing in the morning. Anthony, we will see how things are going when we hit Nashville. On the way home, we are in a rush because Kev has to come back to return to work.
I am super excited because I will get to see my niece. She will turn 1 on August 10th, I will be seeing her on the 8th. I have lots of neat gifts for her.
Joey keeps telling us that we don't need to leave until next weekend. He is sort of a home body. Doesn't seem like he would be, but he loves his home. Luke likes to go, so he'll probably be happy to get away for a few days.
We are bringing 1 watermelon with us. I have one more that is super close and will be checking it in the morning, but I just don't think it will be ready.

It is Thursday already!

Well I am officially CPR certified for like the millionth time. I guess that is what everyone wants from a nurse to know if you go down in front of her that she could help you.

We are getting ready to head to Target to get a few items. We also are going to go get a wedding gift for Sean and Leslie.

The boys have been driving their daddy crazy this week. I think they have been fighting more this week.

Luke has started to really like Sesame Street. He really likes Melmo as he calls Elmo. He discovered yesterday that he has some Melmo toys and they have suddenly become his favorite. I have been missing Elmo a little so it is nice to see him around again. It is also nice to see him enjoying something so much. I ordered tickets for Sesame Street Live that is coming to Mobile a few weeks ago and now I think I made the right choice.

Joey has to clean his room. He lost his right to watch tv yesterday and was banished to his room. He proceeded to make a bigger mess in there and didn't seem to mind that he still isn't allowed to watch tv. The next step is no costumes. I am thinking that should work.

We will be leaving first thing Saturday morning for the trip to Ohio.

My day off

My day off before working the next 4 days started out by swinging by the Krispy Kreme after I got off work to get 2 very special boys donuts. After the boys ate their donuts, we headed off to Gulf Breeze to Publix. Yes, we have become addicted to Publix. Then after I helped put the groceries away then I slept a little while. A very little while, but it counts none the less.
Joey said "Mom look at his face!" I said "What is wrong with that face, it looks perfect to me?" Joeys said "but Mom it is a mess!"

Luke loves to play Peek-a-Boo and he says it when he moves his hands.

When I got up Kev and Joey did a sort of scavenger hunt with a GPS. Kev is teaching Joey to use a GPS, so he hid a sucker over at the park and then put wave marks in to help Joey find it. Apparently, it took Joey no time at all. I don't even know how to turn on a GPS let alone how to find anything using it.
Then all of us went over to the park for a little while. I ran some with Joey. We played and had fun.
When we came home Joey decided to play hide and seek with Kev. Joey had to go into the spare bedroom to count while Kev hid. Even though the door was closed, Joey still covered his eye and stood at the door counting.
Joey very serious about Hide and Seek.

Must go prepare some dinner. I am fixing ravioli for Luke, he loves it. I hate to think how much he will eat tonight.
I almost forgot. The shoulder is doing much better. Now I just have muscle soreness. It is amazing how much better it is.

The calm before the storm!!!

The last few days have been the calm before the storm. I had to get Tuesday off so I could go see the Orthopedic doctor. In getting that day off, I had to agree to work Saturday. I work Friday, Saturday, off Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday I do CPR in the afternoon, and Thursday. Saturday we leave for Ohio. So I will be useless this next week. But I have enjoyed some nice quiet time with my boys the last few days. Today I took the boys to a Mom's Club event, then this afternoon we headed to the beach and then this evening I did a Mom's night out event.
Over the last few weeks Luke went from hating to read to loving to read. He is constantly stopping us to read him a book. This morning I had the pleasure of reading him like 3 books. If you choose not to read to him he cries and throws a terrible fit.
My mom is on vacation and sent the boys a post card. Both post cards had buffalo on them. I handed Luke his post card and he said "Ah, buff!" and pointed to the buffalo. I didn't even know he knew what a buffalo was. This evening he showed Kev the post card and told him "buff lo!" He scares me at how smart he is.
Of course, Joey is smart also. He is looking forward to school this fall. He tells me that all the kids will love him and will ask him to help them learn about animals. He says his dad taught him all about animals. Today at the beach, he found a living sand dollar and he brought it to me and told we could hold it, but it would have to go back in the water. Luke wanted to eat it.
I thought I should also tell you all that Kev and Joey camped out in the living room the other night. Joey stayed up super late and had a ball. Kev slept in the tent until 1am and then he swears that he went back to the tent at 2am. He had a great time also, now he wants to figure out a place to take him outside this fall.

Ignore me in these pictures. I had just gotten out of the shower and had barely combed my hair, when I was forced to read. Luke is in charge of turning the pages.

Camping out

Earlier this week Kev and Joey were going to camp out in the living room, but Joey didn't take a nap that day and he was grumpy. Tonight is the night. They are ready. We will see how this works tonight. Kev claims he wants to take him camping, but every time I suggest it he comes up with a reason why he can't. I bet Joey makes it all night in the tent, but Kev doesn't.

Shot Please!!!

So I met Dr. De Jong today. He is an orthopedic surgeon. The first thing he discussed was that he wants to get me feeling a lot better. I got my third cortisone injection. He gave it to me in a completely different spot and I knew right away that he hit the right spot. It hurt instantly and by the time I got to my car my shoulder felt better than it has in months thanks to the numbing stuff. Then we also discussed my options that I am to think about. He feels that since I am so young and have had such a problem for so long that I was going to have problems with this shoulder no matter what. He feels that I have a bone spur that is causing me much problems. He said it has probably been there for awhile and with the trauma has really started to cause me pain. He talked like no matter what at some point this shoulder was going to cause pain for me. He said he feels if I choose to not have surgery that I am looking at this bone spur rubbing over the rotator cuff and eventually causing a complete tear of the rotator cuff. So I am to be thinking about this surgery and then on August 19th we will discuss more of it. For some reason, he said he'd be getting good information by injecting the area. He said in 95% of the cases if he injects it and then does surgery and can fix the problem completely. I am praying that I can be in the 95%. He said that we would be in no rush for surgery, but he did feel that was my best option. So I have thought about it and well, I want to do the surgery.
