I am feeling like the worst mother in the world tonight. Tonight was
the only night in a few months that my husband and myself could go
out. We were getting things ready and waiting on the babysitter. My
husband jumped in the shower and I ran to the bathroom. I am about to
leave the bathroom(my whopping 2 minute pee break), when the dogs
start barking. I assumed the babysitter was here. Now some guardian
angel was so kind to stop and bring back my boys. We had the garage
door up, because the sitter was coming. Joey supposedly went out the
door to find me and left it open so Luke followed him
and was walking on the road. This kind lady stopped and brought them
to my front door. I was so angry and thankful at the same time. I
feel like the worse mother in the world right now. Joey said he was out by the road, because Luke was out there and he was trying to get him to come back.
We still went on our date. The boys were great for the sitter. We had a great time.

Shoulders are a pain
Just came from the doctor's office. The news is no more cortisone, no more PT, he didn't feel he made me enough progress to continue to see me. He is referring me to an Orthopedic Surgeon. Today he talked about the possibility of surgery. This was the first time he mentioned it. He said that he felt my inflammation was getting worse and he didn't feel that another injection of cortisone would make that big of a difference. He did put me on Celebrex for inflammation, but doesn't feel it will make a huge difference. So he called the lady at work that has to get it all approved and will await her call.
On a better note, the boys are growing like weeds. They want Joey to have a hearing eval and a speech eval (I think both will be done at 4 year old school). Luke's ear looks better. Luke weighs 23 lbs 5 ounces (15th percentile) and his height is 34 1/4 inches (90th percentile). Joey weighs 30 1/2 pounds (about the 2nd percentile) and his height is 41 inches which is has gotten an inch taller since January (40%).
Tomorrow is my birthday and my husband has arranged to get a babysitter tonight and we will be going to see a movie and to dinner. Tomorrow we are going to a science museum in Ft. Walton. I plan on enjoying my day.

Sometimes the truth hurts.
I went to Physical Therapy this morning in a lot of pain. I started on of my exercises and I said this hurts terrible. They repositioned the rubber band and I tried the exercise again. Once again, I said that this hurt me a whole bunch. They then assessed my shoulder and said "Wow, your bicep's tendon is greatly inflammed and there is probably some bursitis in it. Has it been this way for a long time?" How would I know??? I have been telling them exactly where I hurt for weeks. Today my pain was much worse. Actually it has been much worse after grocery shopping and pushing the cart on Sunday. Other than my normal daily activities of the care of two young boys and doing my normal daily activities at home, I have done nothing any different. Then the Physical Therapist assistant proceeded to call another PTA over to feel my shoulder and then the PT. Each and every person that felt this area was amazed that I wasn't complaining more. At this point, I was told that this was my 9 visit and nothing is helping, so they are kicking me out of physical therapy again. They were going to send a note to Dr. Jones and tell him that this is not helping. I go to see him tomorrow. I am not sure what he will do. I was suppose to do work hardening where you strengthen all your muscles so you don't use the injured area as much, I never made it to work hardening because I never got my pain better only worse. I told them I'd see them again and then they all said "Yeah, sooner or later."
The boys both go to the doctor tomorrow for check-ups. Will let you know how they are growing tomorrow and will update you on the shoulder tomorrow.

Sparkler time
I love the 4th of July in fact next to Christmas it has always been my second favorite holiday. I mean fireworks and warm weather. What is not to love??? Plus it is so close to my birthday that for a long time I have thought of fireworks and my birthday. This year we missed the fireworks and that made me a little sad. I had to work and Luke has an ear infection. I think he wouldn't have liked the loud noise. We did get some sparklers for Joey. On the 4th, Joey and Kev did some. Tonight Joey and I did the rest. Apparently, Kev liked to take lots of pictures of me doing sparklers. I had to show Joey how to do it right.

Happy 4th of July
Today is the 4th of July. This is only my second favorite holiday. I love fireworks. This year I won't get to celebrate with fireworks. I have to work. Even if I didn't work, I am pretty sure that Luke's ear isn't up for fireworks. So this afternoon after the boys nap and I take another rest we might head downtown for a few hours for the kid's activities in the park. Kev was hoping for a parade.
I work tomorrow night also. This is my 4 day week. I have 3 more weeks and then I go back to the 2 days a week. That will make me happy. I will have a month with Joey, before he starts 4 year old school.
Next Wednesday is our day of doctor's. The boys go for weight checks, speech checks and 18 month checks and an ear check. Then in the afternoon I go back to see Dr. Jones about the shoulder.

Palafox Pier
On Thursday evening they started to have a family evening at Palafox Pier. They characters there to see the kids and a band that plays music. You are to watch the sunset and picnic and enjoy the evening. They also have Evenings in Old Seville, but the music doesn't start till 7pm. The family evening at Palafox Pier seems to work better for us right now. Tonight was the first one we made it to. Most of the people there were MOMS Club members and their families. It was a really good evening for our family. Everyone had fun. We all enjoyed the music and the company.

Joey and some other kids with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
