Wow 9 years already

Today was our 9th year wedding anniversary.  I can't believe I have been married that long, but I can hardly remember my time without Kevin.  It has been both the greatest time of my life and the hardest time of my life all in one.  We have been through the loss of Thomas which many thought would be the end of our marriage.  Of course, we worked through that.  We did what we always do, we relied on each other.  When we went to Salt Lake City for the Olympics we had been married not 2 years, we stayed with Kevin's Aunt Tricia and she said that we would have to rely on each more because we lived so far away from the rest of the family.  At the time, I didn't really understand what she meant.  Since that time, I have learned exactly what she meant.  I have learned that most anything I need or the boys need Kev will be there for us and I hope he feels the same way about me.  We have experienced the joy of having the greatest two boys ever Joey and Luke.
Today we celebrated 9 years not the way that most people would celebrate.  Of course, we aren't most people.  So we loaded up the boys and took them out on the boat almost all day long.  Then Joey had tae kwon do.  We came home ate dinner at home.  We took are evening walk and did sparklers.  That is the way everyone should celebrate an anniversary.  (We also saw dolphins all over the place today, I have never seen Dolphin from the boat in Pensacola.)

Milkshakes and sparkles.

We headed to Chick-fil-a for the Pirate and Princess party.  All kids that dressed-up got a free milkshake.  Luke had his pirate costume on just long enough to get his free chocolate milkshake and then he was back to Luke.  When I was getting in his costume, he kept telling me "Luke, no pirate!"
Luke loves this Moo

He just couldn't resist hugging this Baby Moo.  Yeah, he can say Cow, but apparently thinks the words are interchangeable.
Joey decided to get his picture taken with the Milkshake Princesses and the Pirate.
Afterwards Kevin was feeling so well, so we came home.  The boys and I went outside for a little while.  Then I brought them in the house and gave them bathes.  Yeah, they need a bath every single day.  Afterwards, Kev was asleep on the couch so we headed to Target to get Father's Day and sparklers.  While we were at Target we had a small situation.  Apparently, Luke dropped his blanket.  I figured this out when I went to check-out.  We walked all over the store and Luke is saying "Where my blankie?"  Joey is not helping the situation, he is saying "Luke, I am sure someone stole it!  I think it is gone forever!"  Finally I ask at Costume Service, this really nice lady said "Well I don't have a blue blanket, but I do have a blue blankie that I am sure is very loved."  Luke cuddled with his loved blankie in the car and fell asleep.
Sparklers are great!!!

The weekend update

The boys started their weekend on Thursday with a parade.  They were celebrating 450 years of Pensacola, we love the Fiesta of Five Flags.  I headed to work.
Luke and his bunny, that he got from the parade.  Yeah he has a black eye.

They had a blast at the parade
Friday the boys just hung out at home and played in the backyard.  They had a great time playing.  Saturday evening after dinner we went on a walk.  Luke said we needed to walk in the wagon.
Luke is totally beat up right now, black eye, a bruise on his ear that we have no idea how he got and a rope burn on his neck thanks to his brother.
Joey and Happy ready for a walk.  Happy use to be mine, but I gave him to Joey.
Today we went to church.  Luke wasn't being good so I took him to the cry room.  He screamed the entire time for his Daddy in the cry room.  I told him he was a heathen and he told me no.  He does fine at church until the priest starts to talk and then he is ready to leave.
After church we came home, I packed a picnic and Kev got the canoe ready.  Joey and Kevin are looking for terrapin turtles.  Apparently, the number of turpentine turtles are really low and they are trying to make them endangered.  So they took the canoe out.  Luke and I went to play in the sand at the beach.

The men are off to hunt turtles.
This is a terrapin turtle, but they did not see any today.
