The Introduction of "Jewy"

Luke is starting to talk. Words are slowly starting to pop out of his mouth. He doesn't say a lot, but every once in awhile something comes out. This morning it was just me and Luke up, I had given him his breakfast. Those that know Luke the best, know that as soon as he wakes up in the morning he wants breakfast. Nothing is more important than breakfast, but as soon as he has had his breakfast he is ready to play. Well when he was done with his breakfast, Joey was still asleep. I guess he thought he should be awake, so he points back to Joey's room and he says "Get Jewy!"

Now my boys like to spend time with each other, but they don't really like the same things at all. Joey likes to pretend to be a super hero, he likes to play with Spiderman, he likes to learn about animals and plants. Luke likes cars and trucks, balls, blocks and walking. Joey never played with blocks or cars much, he did like balls, but not in the same way that Luke does and I think Luke can out walk Joey right now.

Luke has been driving this dump truck all over the house

Playing some more, he also likes to put that box on his head

Joey didn't want to play cars with me and Luke, so he played with the plane

Strawberries or bust

Joey thought this was cool
Joey with all the strawberries picked, that weren't in the bellies of two boys
Can you tell he ate a few berries?
Kev and Joey walking at the farm
Berry picking is exhausting!
So we headed over to Elberta, Alabama to BJ Farms to pick strawberries. I was suppose to take the boys with MOMS Club, but that was the week that Joey was sick. We finally made it today. Luke ate more than he kept. Joey ate a lot also. Kev was our serious picker, I was responsible for Luke, so no one could pick very many with him. So in a little while I will be freezing strawberries.
In June, there is a blueberry farm that you can pick your own. Joey thinks he would like to pick blueberries also.

Bargain shopping

I worked the last two nights. I am happy to stay home tonight. I am not looking foward to working three days this summer, but I will do it.
On Friday, Joey and Luke stayed with Mrs. Kristie. Joey was suppose to be taking a nap, but he got up and got into Rett's markers and drew all over the bed, himself, and his blanket. Mrs. Kristie came to check on him and found red everywhere. At first she thought it was blood, but quickly realized that it was just marker. She took his blanket from him to wash and he didn't know what she was doing and lost control. Everyone calmed down and it was all cleaned up. Kristie mentioned this to Kev, but it wasn't made out as a huge deal. So Joey comes home and confesses to me his wrong doing. He ended the story with "It was a terrible accident!" I am pretty sure that it was no accident, but it made me laugh.
We had planned on going strawberry picking, but it rained. So Joey and Kev went to see Iron Man. Luke and I went to the mall. Luke needed some shorts really bad. I decided to check out Children's Place. They had some awesome sales or clearance. At anyrate for $30, I got Luke 4 pair of shorts, 2 shirts and Joey got 2 pair of shorts and 1 shirt and each boy got a pair of sunglasses.
Hopefully tomorrow we will make to get those strawberries.
We have many upcoming events schedules with MOMS Club.
May 7 Gulfarium
May 13 we are hosting a playdate at Osceola Park
May 17 is the Mother's Day tea, but the boys won't be joining me for that.
May 20 New Member's Brunch
So we have plenty to keep busy over the next few weeks.

High School Musical and other stuff.

I won 4 free tickets to High School Musical on Ice from Pcolamoms.com through the Pensacola News Journal. I can see if you were 8-12 year old girl that this would be awesome. We took Joey and he seemed to enjoy it. He didn't understand where the ice was and we had to explain that. I can honestly say I was glad that we didn't purchase the tickets.

All three of us well mostly

Kev and Joey leaving the show.

Luke stayed home with a babysitter. The show didn't start until 7:30 and well frankly Luke can't stay up that late. He has been having lots of fun these last few days.

This is Luke and the lid from his diaper pale.

Happy Belated Birthday to GB. Hope that these pictures help bring a smile to your day.

ROV

As some of you know Kev is taking a group of kids to San Diego this summer for an ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) international competition. They will be going up against lots of High Schools and Colleges. His students have been working really hard on this and he is super proud of all that they have done.

Worm soup for lunch

Me and the boys always having fun
I am so luck to have two boys that like to be around each other.
Luke after the worm throwing.
Joey and Me just having fun.
When you have two boys you get use to the boy things of the world. Like for lunch, you never know what will happen. We had Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup for lunch. When we started to eat it, it was brought to my attention that we weren't eating Chicken Noodle soup, but Worm soup. The noodles had become worms and the chicken, well it was worm poop. Yeah, Joey doesn't typically eat the chicken. At anyrate, Luke was eating pretty good and then after he heard he was eating worms, he started just eating the crackers that were crunched up in his soup and spitting and throwing the noodles.
I have learned that everything is an adventure. That we as adults don't look at life the right way. I think that 4 year old boys have more of the right things figured out about the world than adults do. Joey explained to me this morning after watching an episode of Power Rangers that if everyone was nice we would need Heroes like him.

What's for dinner?

Brocolli from Joey's garden, that is what's for dinner. Joey tried to share with Luke, but Luke took one bite and spit it out. I told Joey that Luke doesn't like brocolli and so Joey ask him and he shook his head no. I thought I might eat some brocolli, but Joey ate it all and then ate a little fruit salad and was done.
This week I need to go buy more strawberries and freeze them. The boys are really enjoying fruit salad with the strawberries that I froze. The plan was for the strawberries to be used later on, but they keep asking for them.
