Chief Powerful Shark

Joey's class is having a Indian Pow Wow on Tuesday for Thanksgiving. Since he is missing it, Mrs. Enfinger sent his stuff home with him today. Today they could dress as something Thanksgiving. Joey wore his Indian shirt from last year and made a warrior Indian hat. Of course, for his Pow Wow he had a much cooler Indian head piece. His class this year made Indian vests out of grocery paper sacks and necklaces from fruit loops and the head piece. The head piece had to be a pattern.

Burger or not Burger

Everyone that knows Joey, knows that he won't touch a burger. Kevin really worries about him. Joey won't eat cheeseburgers or hamburgers. So weekly I have packed his lunch always on Thursdays, because they always have cheeseburgers or hamburgers. Today I packed his lunch, I reminded him 3 times to get his lunch. Off we go to school, I never noticed till I walked in the door that he didn't have his lunch bag. When I got home from dropping him off I noticed that his lunch was sitting on the couch, so I put it in the fridge. I decided he has to learn a little responsibility. He figured it out right away at school and his teacher calmed him down. Then when they got to literacy centers he couldn't focus, he begged her to call me for his lunch. Instead she ask the cafeteria workers to do her a favor and make him a hamburger. Guess what??? He ate a little bit of the hamburger and he liked it. He says he loved it. He also says that he will buy his lunch when they have hamburgers, but not when they have cheeseburgers.

Disney or Bust

The bags are packed. Joey and Kev have to make it through 2 more days I school. I must make it through 2 more nights at work. Luke is spending is last days with Mrs. Kristie. He has been telling us that he will only go to Mrs. Kristie's house a few more times and then he is moving in with Mickey Mouse.
Saturday morning we leave as soon as we have some breakfast from Sacred Heart. Hopefully, I will be able to sleep in the car.
Check this often while we are gone, I will try to post pictures while we are gone.

Sad

Most of the time, I'd tell you that I have the perfect life. I work 2 days a week, doing exactly what I love doing. I know it sounds weird, but if I had it to do all over again I'd go to school to be a nurse again. I think it is what I should be doing. I am thankful that I only work 2 night shifts a week and get to spend so much time with my family. Of course, every once in awhile I hate the fact that I work even if it is just 2 nights a week. Today the babysitter called and said that Luke isn't feeling well. I hate that he had to stay at the babysitter's house all day long even if I know she was wonderful to him. I feel that it is my job to take care of him, especially when he doesn't feel well. Today I am sad that I can't stay home all the time.

The best $8 I ever spent

Almost 8 years ago, I purchased a Naval orange tree at Walmart for $8. It was the best money I have spent on my house and I feel I have gotten the greatest return on it.
Luke enjoyed pick an orange from the tree this morning.
Joseph enjoying the fruit.
