Pictures

I realized tonight when I was getting the pictures of our Christmas adventure from tonight, that I didn't post any pictures from Bellingrath Gardens the other day.
We and My boys at the lights
Joey on a lion with tons of Christmas lights.
Joey and a Gingerbread
The men and lots of lights.
These were the prettiest lights.

The boys with their lighted necklaces.
Tonight we went to Winterfest in Pensacola for a Trolley ride through downtown Pensacola and sing along with Santa.  Luke wouldn't sit on Santa's lap tonight, but he was totally enjoying himself.  Joey has compared the Santa's and he now knows that he just met an Elf at 4 year old school, but tonight was the real Santa.  This guy didn't have a fake beard like at 4 year old school.  Yes, he has been taking notes about Santa.  He didn't tell him what he wants for Christmas, because he is sure the Elf told him.  Mrs. Santa Claus wasn't there, but Joey doesn't really like her since she talks bad about him and Luke.
After we got home I ask Luke if he saw Santa tonight and he told me "No!"  I ask him if he saw Rudolph and he said "Maybe!"
We got to sit right next to Santa Claus

Talking with Santa, teaching him how it is.
Luke was a little impressed with Rudolph, but he didn't want to touch him.

A Call to Mrs. Claus

Joey and Luke were terrible yesterday.  Kev needed to get his haircut.  So when I slept he took the boys with him to the barber shop.  At first they were good.  Luke was in the stroller so he didn't run away.  Then Joey decided it would be fun to push Luke around in the stroller.  He ended up pushing Luke into a magazine rack and then the stroller tipped and Luke pulled the magazine rack on top of him.  He cut his head and it bled a lot.  He cried a lot.  Joey was scared out of his mind.
Then when we headed to Mobile, Joey was not listening in the car.  We had to call Mrs. Claus.  We found out Joey is still low on the yellow list.  Mrs. Claus told us that he only had to be nice for a few more days.

God's blessing

Last night we went to Mobile to see the Christmas lights at Bellingrath Garden's.  We were in line in our car for over 2 hours.  We talked about turning around many times, but I hated to drive that far to turn around.  We ended up seeing the lights and enjoying the whole thing.

This morning we got up, ate breakfast, got dress and headed to church.  The car started right up without any problems.  It was raining so Kev dropped us at the door.  He didn't have the car pulled in the way he wanted so he tried to start the car and pull it forward.  It wouldn't start.  After church, Silvio and Kev tried to jump it.  It wouldn't start.  Silvio thinks it is the battery, so they are currently buying a battery and going to change it out.  Silvio says it isn't the alternator because it is clicking.

So it is a blessing that this didn't happen last night in Mobile.  We didn't leave Mobile to 9pm.

Hey Mister Throw Me Something

We went to the Christmas parade in downtown Pensacola tonight.  Joey loved to scream and yell for beads.  Everytime Luke got some beads he giggled.  We all had a great time.  Luke was thrilled because at the end of the 2 hour parade was Elmo and Santa Claus.  Joey seemed to love it all.  There were some awesome bands from New Orleans.

Pretending

They say that pretending is good for kids.  Joey is excellent at it, he pretends all the time.  That is one thing that his teachers always remind me.  I guess I wasn't thinking that Luke was that good. Well  yesterday, he found one of Kev's shirts, he brought it to me and said "Dad's shirt, me."  I helped him put it on and he walked around all dressed up like Kev.  I kept referring to him as Dad and he thought it was great.
It made me thinking about Luke and his play.  He pretends all the time.  I just wasn't giving him credit for it.  He got tools for his birthday, he pretends to fix things all the time.  He pretends to sneeze when he empties pretend pepper on his hand and then smells it.   He pretends to sleep when he puts his head on a pillow.

Growing Man

Luke went to the doctor today.  He is doing everything that they want him to do and then some.  He is 34 3/4 inches tall (75%) and 26 lbs (25%).
At Joey's 2 year old appointment he weighed 23 lbs and was 32 3/4 inches tall.  Luke is just much bigger than Joey was.
My brother at age 2 was 26 1/2 lbs and 35 inches. Aaron was always a little behind because he always had an ear infection. Apparently, Luke is just following the same path that Aaron did.
