Last night I baked. I mean I seriously baked for Octoberfest. I fixed brownies, fun fetti cupcakes, and Grandma Turner's famous pumpkin cookies. I would probably do more tonight or tomorrow night, but I must work and keep this family out of the poor house.
I usually try to rest all day on Thursday. I usually drop Luke off at Mrs. Kristie's and then Joey to school. Well Joey went to school, but Luke stayed with me. When he got up this morning his bed and blanket were covered in puke. So he stayed with me and had seemed fine all day, besides not eating anything. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Joey won't get Luke's bug.

Welcome to the Toddler years

I know that Luke has been a toddler longer than I am willing to admit it. In the last several weeks things have happened and I can't fight anymore.
1.) The Tylenol accident: When your baby climbs in a sneaky way to get to something they know they aren't suppose to be messing with they are a toddler.
2.) We ask for a hug and they run the other way and smile from across the room, they are a toddler.
3.) When they look at a food item that they have been eating for ever and shake their head no, they are a toddler.
4.) When they are completely exhausted from a field trip with big brother and an evening at the YMCA, but when you put them to bed and they look up at you and say "No play!" They have become a toddler.
But with as much growing up as he is doing, he still likes to cuddle up with his thumb in his mouth and his head on my shoulder. When ask if he is my baby, he always answers yes.

First field trip
Today was Joey's first field trip. All the 4 year olds went to the Number 1 Fire Station here in Pensacola. They have been learning about fire safety this week at school and 911. They all seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Working outside
So we have worked outside the entire day. We really should have been cleaning up on the inside. Of course, it was much to pretty to be inside. We mowed the yard, power washed the fence, pulled weeds in the flower gardens, picked up sticks from the pecan trees, blowed off the side walks, and even grilled and ate dinner outside. In a few weeks we are having a Halloween party at our house, so we started putting out some decorations also.

The Apology
For the last few weeks Joey has come home complaining that the boys have been calling him "Booger face!" and "Snotty nose!" He has had a cold so it really has been true. I figured that I wasn't going to get involved in this. I mean he needs to learn to fight his own battles. If he doesn't like it then he needs to speak up and tell the boys this. Tucker, the boy that is probably his best friend, started this and got all the other boys calling him this. Joey and Tucker are typical boys, best friends one minute and can't stand each other the next. Well earlier this week Mrs. Nancy found out that they were calling Joey these names. She got on all kids that were calling him these names. She made them apologize. Joey says that apologize means you say you are sorry. Now all the boys call him "Joey."
Next week is Tucker's birthday, so Joey has been talking a lot about his birthday. He wants to go to McDonald's for his birthday party. I guess I will be looking into this.

A Joyous afternoon
We spent the afternoon outside playing and getting dirty. We lots of fun playing in the backyard.
This evening I gave these two dirty boys a bath and then took Luke on a walk. Then Luke went to bed. Joey and I spent some time with Alvin. Joey really enjoyed watching him run in his wheel. He said "Mom, I am so happy I am Alvin's daddy!"
Grandpa Flesher, Luke apparently wanted a convertible. He took the top off a few weeks ago.
