Tomorrow we are taking the boys to Mobile to see Sesame Street Live. They know that we have a surprise for them, but don't know what. Joey thinks it is a toy or a boat or a book. Yeah he has been trying to guess and not doing very well. Joey will love this even though he tells us that Sesame Street is for babies (Rett told him this). When Sesame Street is on tv he is glues and seems to learn something new every time he watches it. Now Luke loves Sesame Street, but he only likes to watch Big Bird (he calls him Bird!), Elmo (or Melmo as Luke says) and Cookie Monster (Cookie). He will love it. He talks often about Melmo and Bird. I think both boys will be so happy to go.
The other surprise Joey has just all of the sudden started sing his Alphabet. Now I have tried to teach him this for a long time and he has taken no interest in it. All of the sudden he can just sing it. I thought he learned it at school, but he tells me that they have not sang it at all. He says he learned it from Sesame Street. He also is starting to get really good at making letters. I swear this happened over night. He is super excited to start drawing letters at school.
Luke's vocabulary is really growing also. He said this morning after we changed his diaper "Bad diaper poop!" This afternoon he was saying "Mom's baby!" and "Lub Momma!" When I went to go to bed this morning he said "Night night baby!" When you give him something he says "Thank you, welcome!" I got him an Elmo t-shirt this evening at Kohl's and he told me "Melmo cool, cool!" If he sees a picture of a baby in the house it doesn't matter if it is Luke or Joey or Sarah, he says "Oh baby Joe!" That is funny since all pictures of babies at house are Luke to Joey. If Joey askes for something like a toy or a drink or a snack, Luke loves to get it for him. He will get it and run to Joey saying "Here Joe! Here Joe! Here Joe!"

Hurricanes
Now I just want to say I hate hurricanes. I especially hate hurricanes that start with the letter I and I really hate hurricanes that might possibly hit on September 12. I hope that Thomas blows really hard and destroys it or makes it go someplace else. I do believe 6 years ago there was a tropical storm.
We had hopes to go to Destin to celebrate Thomas birthday, now I am just hoping I am not stuck at the hospital.

Thursday already
Today is my day to rest so I can work tonight. Luke left with Kev so that he could go to Mrs. Kristie's house. I will take Joey to school and then come home and rest. Then go back and pick him up. He has been sleeping a long time after school. He gets in the car and says he isn't tired, but his voice is weak and I had to carry him in from the car yesterday.
Today at school he does Stretch and Grow. This is like their version of Gym class. I think he is going to come home really excited about this. Yesterday they went to the church for a Bible lesson. He also did his Show and Tell yesterday, he took his Black Spyderman costume in.
One of the boys yesterday called him Snotty Face, because he has a cold and has a lot of snot. Well Joey said that he didn't like that at all. He said he won't say mean things like that to other kids. Then he told me the boy who said that to him is one of his good friends.
This weekend on Sunday we are surprising the boys and taking them to Mobile for Sesame Street Live. They are going to love it.
Luke is keeping me very busy, not so much when Joey is away, but when Joey is home. He has been awful when Joey is around. I think he is mad at Joey for going to school or something. Because yesterday he would listen and be so good as long as Joey was away, but when Joey was home he was terrible. Before school the other day he went up to Joey for no reason and pushed him down with all his might. After we picked Joey up I said don't you want to give Joey a hug. Luke looked at me and said very loudly "NO!" I took Luke with Mom's Club to Pizza Hut for lunch. He ate 3 pieces of pizza, peaches and pudding. He was an angel. Then we picked Joey up and he must have had time out a million times and again I put him to bed at 6pm.

How did his day go???
Well I was right there at 1pm to get Joey. He comes out and says he is ready, but the teacher's aide Shoni tells me that Nancy needs to talk to me. I was very worried that this meant something terrible. Well the first thing Nancy says is "Joey is very sweet and he listens very well, but I need you to sign this." Apparently, since they couldn't go outside today they went into this large room to play. Nancy says everytime they go in there something strange happens. Well him and this boy named Jacob were wrestling around. Both were laughing and having a grand time. Nancy stops them and separates the boys. She first talks to Joey. Joey says that Jacob bit him on the shoulder. Then she talks to Jacob and his says Joey bit him. Joey's shoulder was a little red and Jacob didn't have a mark on him. She says that no matter what if a kids says another kid bites them they have to inform the parent. She also said that she didn't really know how to write it up.
In the car, Joey tells me that he didn't bite that boy. He says that Jacob was pretending to be a bear or a monster or something like that and he attacked him. They were rolling around. Joey says he bit him and he didn't cry, he just said "Ouch!"
Other than this he seemed to have a blast. He already use his extra shirt. He says he met a really nice red headed girl. They made stars today, but they didn't work on writing letters. He wanted to practice making letters. He said he can't wait to go back tomorrow.
The other exciting news is that Kev is getting a bonus. He applied for this bonus and he got an email about it the other day. In the email it said that he scored an 89% and anyone that got 65% or better got the Merit bonus. He is super excited.

First day of School
Today is Joey's first day of school. I can't wait to pick him up to hear all about all the neat things he has done today. He was super excited this morning. Before he ate breakfast, he ask if he could get his clothes on for 4 year old school.
Ready to go, well sort of. Mom says that I need my rain coat on.
In front of his school. It isn't the nicest day to start school.
Mrs. Nancy, Joey, and Mrs. Shoni
Luke is lost. He is very quiet today. I don't think this quiet will last. He is walking around like he lost his best friend.

Seeing is believing!!!
Luke was put to bed. I have told you that he is extremely quiet if he gets up. We didn't know he was up and playing. I went to check on him about 45 minutes later after I put Joey to bed. This is how I found him. Yeah, he didn't take a nap.
Just in case you thought he was faking. He didn't even open his eyes when I moved him up in his bed.
I am not sure that I have ever been this tired.
Rain Rain Go Away
So we have gotten rain and wind today from Hurricane Gustav. We have spent the day play at the house. Kev has felt bad with a cold. By this evening Luke and Joey couldn't get along and everyone was driving Kev crazy.
Tomorrow is Joey's first day of school. I have his lunch packed and his scrapbook page done. I have his clothes laid out. Expect pictures tomorrow of the big boy. Luke will be a very sad little brother tomorrow.
